Creekview Ranch Middle School

It became official May 2007 when school board members approved George to become principal of their new middle school. Creekview Ranch opened its doors August 2008, becoming only the third middle school and the tenth school in the Dry Creek school district. The tasks of opening a new site and program with everyday school management responsibilities made it one busy and exciting year!

Jaden had an opportunity to visit the construction site in August 2007.

One year later, the multipurpose room/gym has become the center attraction of Creekview Ranch Middle School.

The 28-acre facility is projected to be completed Spring 2009.

The experience has been incredible, as something that started as just a design and a proposal is now reality.

More Wisdom, Less Maturity

George's third year in administration came with a new round of training and education. Along the way, he found a great group of people and a great program at the WEB training in February 2007. The integration of UniCamp elements into the work environment made for a terrific way to build a welcoming, positive school climate.

Turtle Hurdle

Nearly half a dozen years for undergrad and a half dozen more for a masters... It took George most of the decade to get his graduate degree, but he finally was able to reach the next level with the help of a department switch and a comp exam in December 2006.

"So when can we eat lunch?" a naive George asked during his admin. tour in 2004. He now knows better. What looks like a store shelf was actually one of George's desk drawers full of on-the-go bars. With administrative duties constantly taking priority over thoughts of mealtime, George needs to muster all the energy he can get hold of.
